Overview And Experience
Daniel practises in both corporate and commercial law and has a client base consisting predominantly of creative and innovative entrepreneurs, many of whom work in the technology sector.
Daniel’s commercial practice is focused on drafting and negotiating technology contracts, in particular those relating to the development, licensing and maintenance of software, the provision of software-as-a-service and master service/framework agreements governing multiple services supplied by managed service providers.
Daniel also advises in relation to a wide range of general commercial issues, such as the receipt or provision of services or products; the exploitation of intellectual property rights; branding and sponsorship; distribution, agency and franchise agreements and data protection compliance (with a focus on facilitating UK GDPR-compliant international data transfers and advising on the terms of contracts with data processors).
When Daniel’s commercial clients require corporate advice, he can also assist, regularly advising on corporate governance, company restructuring, shareholder agreements, reorganisations and asset and share acquisitions.
Daniel provides pragmatic, easy-to-digest legal advice that is aligned with his clients’ commercial goals. He simplifies complex transactions to facilitate completions and has considerable experience successfully negotiating commercial contracts on behalf of clients contracting with larger (and typically far from flexible) organisations.
