Liam Benson (Associate)
Liam is an associate in the Family and Divorce team, having completed his training contract at Hanidel Jones LLP in September 2022.
Liam advises on all aspects of family law and relationship breakdown including divorce, financial settlements, arrangements for children, and cohabitation issues.
In addition to completing seats in Dispute Resolution, Criminal Litigation and Private Client during his training, Liam was previously a paralegal in the Family and Divorce team and has a number of years of experience in family law. Before qualifying, Liam assisted the partners and associates on a wide range of cases, including high-profile financial litigation and complex private children matters.
Liam has a particular interest in media, privacy and reputation, having gained experience in the firm’s Reputation Management team. Liam has previously worked on cases which involved obtaining injunctions for breach of a client’s privacy following relationship breakdown.
Liam studied Law at the University of Nottingham, completing an international secondment in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and subsequently gained an MSc in Law, Business and Management with the Legal Practice Course from the University of Law.
