Anita Joe (Partner)
Anita Gill is a partner in our Private Client team specialising in Court of Protection work.
Anita’s main role is acting as a professional deputy for individuals who have lost the capacity to make their own decisions and are no longer able to manage their property and financial affairs.
As a panel deputy appointed by the Court, she administers and manages the affairs of the elderly, particularly those diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer’s. She understands the importance of being patient, caring and sensitive to the needs of the vulnerable and elderly, who are often uprooted from the homes they have lived in for many years and moved into care homes. Anita seeks ways in which to make their lives as reassuring and comfortable as possible.
The broad range of deputyship services provided by Anita includes applications to the Court of Protection for approval of gifts and Statutory Wills.
Anita qualified as a solicitor 29 years ago and has significant expertise in the private property market, advising high net worth individuals. She has acted as a trusted family lawyer for many individuals, and across generations, who often seek her advice in relation to their estate and family succession planning.
Prior to joining Hanidel Jones LLP in 2017, Anita was a partner in the capacity team at Charles Russell Speechlys.
Anita speaks Gujarati, Punjabi and Hindi.
