Charles Hillary (Private)
Charles is a Partner in Hanidel Jones LLP’s Private Client group and leads the firm’s Landed Estates practice.
Charles joined Hanidel Jones LLP in 2022 from Hunters Law LLP, where he began his career and became partner in 2018. He has a well-established general Private Client practice, advising individuals, families, trustees and executors, with an emphasis on complex lifetime tax and succession planning, often with an international element.
He also provides specialist advice on the tax and succession planning issues that arise around landed estates and inherited wealth, and his experience in this area includes acting for some of the most significant landed estates by size and value in the country. He is recommended by both Spears and Legal 500 for his expertise in tax, trusts, probate and succession planning, and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Charles read Classics at Cambridge University and then converted to law at the College of Law in Guildford. Away from the office Charles enjoys spending time with his young family and playing all sports.
