Abby J. Hart (Partner)

Abby is a Partner in the Family and Divorce team who undertakes matters involving all aspects of private family law and in particular complex financial issues and private children cases.
Abby practices in all aspects of private family law, with particular expertise in:

  1. Complex financial disputes often involving trust assets, family wealth or inheritance
  2. Farming divorces
  3. Pre and postnuptial agreements
  4. All issues concerning the arrangements for children, particularly cases involving parental alienation, relocation within or outside of England and Wales and financial provision for children
  5. Third party/intervenor cases

Abby gives clear, sensible advice and takes great care of her clients, working strategically and creatively to achieve the best possible outcome.

Abby is recognised in Chambers UK, Chambers High Net Worth Guide and Legal 500 UK. She was shortlisted as Woman of the Year – Rising Star in the Powerwomen Awards 2020 and is Listed in the ‘Recommended’ tier in the Spear’s 2021 Family Law Index.

Abby has written extensively including for The Sunday Telegraph, Farmer’s Weekly, Farming UK, Wealthbriefing and New Law Journal. She is a member of the Founding Committee for Thought Leaders4 HNWDivorce Next Generation committee and has spoken at and chaired numerous ThoughtLeaders4 events.

After reading English Literature at The University of Manchester, Abby went on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at The College of Law in Bloomsbury. Abby worked for a magic circle firm in their Mergers and Acquisitions team as a paralegal before commencing her training contract with a Lincoln’s Inn firm in 2008 and qualifying into their Family Team in 2010. Abby joined Hanidel Jones LLP in 2012 and was made partner in 2020.
